The start of the vacation

Well, I decided to learn how to blog and start with our vacation to Gleneden Beach, Oregon. We started out trip on Saturday morning, got the car loaded up and hit the road about 7:30 a.m. Not much happened, just endless miles of freeway, sage brush and not much else.
We stopped for lunch just across the Idaho/Oregon boarder, was kind of cool with a breeze blowing but a nice place to stop. After a short walk around, it was back in the car and on the road again.
Stop for the day was The Dalles, Oregon. It was fun to see the river with the barges and wind surfers, (the wind was blowing pretty good.) Checked into the hotel, packed the bags up to the room and set off for dinner. We had a nice dinner at a family restaurant about a block and a half from the hotel. Let dinner settle a bit and went to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard, then back to the hotel, watched a little t.v. then hit the sack, we were both pretty tired.
